Former Nigeria captain Vincent Enyeama has left French membership Lille after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.
Enyeama joined Lille from Isreali facet Hapoel Tel Aviv in June 2011 and made 164 appearances. The 36-year outdated final performed for Lille in April 2017 after he was instructed to search for a brand new membership by earlier boss Marcelo Bielsa at the beginning of final season.
“After seven years, the journey ends now and I can solely thank the membership and supporters for the superb love,” Enyeama instructed BBC Sport.
Enyeama helped the membership to the 2016 French League cup remaining the place they have been edged by giants Paris St-Germain. With 17 clear sheets from 35 league video games within the 2013/14 season, he emerged as the primary goalkeeper to be named French Ligue 1 African Participant of the Season.
Lille paid a glowing tribute to the participant on its web site and wrote that: “Past his performances, Lille and the supporters will keep in mind Vincent’s smile and enthusiasm. The membership now needs him one of the best in his future initiatives.”
