A 17-year-old excessive Texas college scholar is seeking to make a dent in native politics and has introduced he’s operating for the Houston City Council.
Marcel McClinton informed Fox 26 Houston he’ll launch his marketing campaign for council at-large later this month at Stratford High School, and he hopes to unseat present council member Michael Kubosh.
“I’ve a lot love for my metropolis, and I wish to make change
now and tomorrow,” he informed the station. “I like the activism aspect of politics.”
McClinton, a gun reform activist, survived a capturing in 2016 when he was educating at a Sunday School. One individual died and others have been injured, per Fox 26.
“It was a horrible expertise,” mentioned McClinton. “We needed to
