The So-Safe Corps, which is formally recognized as the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, has apprehended a 20-year-old individual named Ridwan for the suspected murder of his father, purportedly for ritualistic purposes within Ogun State.
In an official statement released by the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, via the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, it was reported that on Thursday, August 31st, at approximately 12:00hrs, while conducting their routine patrol in Oshoku Village, Ijebu North Local Government Area, Corps personnel detected an unusual disturbance emanating from a nearby structure.
The officers entered the building to confirm what was happening. To their astonishment, they discovered the lifeless body of a man lying in a pool of his own blood, and the suspected killer had fled the scene.
20-year-old man arrested
Commander Ganzallo then instructed ACC Marcus Ayankoya, the Zonal Commander of the Ijebu Zonal Command, to ensure the arrest of the alleged assailant, Ridwan, within a 24-hour timeframe. He was later nabbed where he was hiding in a bush.

“He confessed to have killed his father, Ishau with a rope tied to his neck and a knife used to remove the needed parts of his body for ritual purposes,” the statement reads.
He additionally admitted to extracting his father’s genitals, vocal cords, and only four teeth, as per the demands of a ritual practitioner known as Baba Kekere. Nevertheless, when asked about the whereabouts of this ritualist, the suspect declined to provide additional details.
Ganzallo revealed that the suspected murderer has been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Ogbere Divisional Headquarters, for further inquiry and potential legal proceedings.
