Juventus announced on Thursday that Alex Sandro will be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks due to a hamstring injury he sustained during a training session.
According to the club’s statement, the Brazilian defender underwent examinations in Turin, which revealed a moderate hamstring tear in his left thigh. The player has already initiated the rehabilitation process and will undergo further tests in 15 days to determine a more precise estimate of his recovery time.
Typically, injuries of this nature keep players out of action for approximately a month. Alex Sandro has made two appearances for Juventus this season but was not part of the squad in their last weekend’s 3-1 victory against Lazio.
Juventus currently holds the second position in Serie A, trailing Inter Milan by two points. They have upcoming matches against Sassuolo on Saturday and Lecce on Tuesday.
