Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo is currently preparing to file a lawsuit against his former club, Juventus, seeking to claim €20 million in outstanding wages from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The situation arose when Juventus reportedly deferred the payment of this sum during the pandemic, with an agreement in place that it would be settled once the club had managed to navigate the financial challenges brought on by the crisis. However, it has now emerged that Ronaldo has yet to receive the full amount owed to him.
Taking a broader perspective, Ronaldo initially signed a four-year contract with Juventus in the summer of 2018, before returning to Manchester United and eventually moving to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League earlier this year.
The course of action Ronaldo is taking may potentially lead to further consequences for Juventus. In fact, reports suggest that his former teammate at Juventus, Leandro Bonucci, is also contemplating legal action against the club for a separate issue.
