As stated by SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, the spokesperson for the Police Command, Blessing, who resides in the Yola Police barracks, became pregnant after two years of dating her boyfriend, Luka, which led to her current condition.”
On Tuesday, he informed reporters in Yola that Blessing, who lives in the Jambutu region of Yola North Local Government region, had denied murdering the baby, alleging that it was born prematurely.
“I had a safe and peaceful delivery but the baby was lifeless hence my decision to dump it in the dustbin.
When I discovered that it was a stillbirth, I kept the corpse for two days before I dumped it in the dustbin and even my aunt whom I have been living with did not know that I was pregnant for nine months,” she told newsmen.
According to a police official, the suspects will be charged in court after the investigation is completed.
