Female cruiserweight boxer, Bolatito ‘Black Tito’ Oluwole, has expressed her ambition to achieve a historic milestone at GOtv Boxing Night 29 by becoming the first female recipient of the coveted best boxer award.
The top performer of the event will be awarded the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy along with a cash prize of N1 million. Black Tito is set to go up against Celina ‘Pretty Assassin’ Agwu in a national cruiserweight title challenge bout scheduled for September 24 at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, one of the six fights scheduled for the evening.
Black Tito stated, “My ultimate goal for the night is to create history by becoming the first female to be crowned the overall best boxer at GOtv Boxing Night. I am extremely confident in my ability to defeat Pretty Assassin, and my objective is not just to win but to win convincingly. I will outclass her, ensuring I stand a strong chance to claim the prize money.”
Additionally, the event will feature a national lightweight challenge match between Azeez ‘Latest’ Ayobami and Emmanuel ‘Ability’ Abimbola, as well as a national super flyweight challenge bout between Yusuf ‘Omowest’ Mohammed and Sifon ‘Best’ Iwatt. The bantamweight category will host a national challenge bout featuring Sodiq ‘Happy Boy’ Adeleke and Ibrahim ‘Golden Boy’ Opeyemi, while Arabambi ‘Power’ Ojo will face Tunde ‘Turning Star’ Olojede. Another matchup in the national welterweight category will see Taiwo ‘Gentle Boy’ Olowu take on Ganiyu ‘Energy’ Kolawole.
