The United Kingdom announced on Thursday that it will be “temporarily” relocating the families of its embassy and consulate staff in Israel due to the ongoing unrest in the region.
As a precautionary measure, the British Foreign Office spokesperson stated, “We are temporarily drawing down dependants of staff at our Embassy in Tel Aviv and our Consulate in Jerusalem.” However, it was emphasized that both the Embassy and Consulate are fully operational, providing essential consular services to those in need.
At present, the UK advises its citizens against all but necessary travel to Israel due to the security situation.
