Shehu passionately defended President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic policies and achievements, stating that he has successfully steered Nigeria’s economy out of a period of hardship.
Shehu’s response comes on the heels of Senator Tinubu’s comments, where she expressed concerns about the current state of the economy and argued that Nigerians were experiencing increasing poverty rates. She further emphasized the importance of addressing these economic challenges promptly.
However, Shehu countered these statements by highlighting the significant strides made by the Buhari administration in revitalizing the country’s economy. He noted that the administration successfully tackled the economic recession that was inherited in 2015, restoring stability and growth to the nation. Shehu further stated that the government implemented various measures, such as diversifying the economy, investing in infrastructure, and promoting agriculture, which have led to positive outcomes for the Nigerian people.
