Cardi B has put an end to speculations suggesting that she and her husband Offset fabricated a cheating scandal for promotional purposes surrounding their collaborative single, “Jealousy.”
Earlier, the couple engaged in a public exchange on social media when the 31-year-old Migos rapper accused his 30-year-old wife of infidelity.
In response, Cardi B unleashed a Twitter Spaces rant, referring to her spouse as a “motherf****r” and accusing him of being in a “spiraling” state.
In the wake of recent events, fans have been questioning whether the couple deliberately staged their public drama last month to create buzz around their new song, considering the title and release date of the single
In response to an Instagram comment calling his infidelity allegations just ‘a stunt’ to create buzz, the Grammy winner replied: ‘It wasn’t no STUNT.’
“It wasn’t no STUNT,” she wrote in a response to an Instagram user. “Tasha K made some ish up and yall was laughing about it and happy a-s hell about it. Now that we putting it in the music is a stunt … Naaa baby be mad at the one who started trolling wit it.”
The scandal began in June when Offset, 31, accused the Up rapper of cheating on him in a now-deleted social media post, an accusation which Cardi has addressed in the new track.
