Cash Money Records artist B.G. has been released from incarceration following an 11-year prison term.
B.G., whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for firearm possession and obstruction of justice in 2012. Despite spending numerous birthdays in prison, including his recent 42nd birthday, he declared that it would be his final one behind bars.

The 42-year-old rapper successfully transitioned to community confinement, which is akin to a halfway house, and is expected to regain full freedom on July 11, 2024.
Birdman captured the moment when the veteran rapper, a member of the original Hot Boys rap crew, was reunited with him and other friends outside the federal prison in Herlong, California, where he had been incarcerated for the past 11 years.
B.G. is known for his contributions to Cash Money and released several projects, with one of the most notable being “Chopper City In The Ghetto” in 1999, which popularized the enduring slang term “Bling Bling” through its lead single.
