On Monday, August 7, a historic moment unfolded in Kano State as Justice Dije Abdu Aboki took the solemn oath to become the substantive Chief Judge.
This significant event marked her formal appointment, after having initially served as the acting CJ since March 9, a position she assumed following the retirement of the former Justice Nura Sair.
With this inauguration, Justice Aboki has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, becoming Kano State’s very first female Chief Judge, a remarkable achievement for both her and the state.

Filled with a sense of gratitude and responsibility, Justice Aboki expressed her appreciation for the privilege to serve her state. She made a solemn commitment to uphold the core values of integrity, honesty, and justice as she assumes her role.
Her dedication to these principles reflects her readiness to contribute positively to the legal system and ensure the fair dispensation of justice in Kano State.
She said;
