Friends, former Bayelsa Speaker mourn Police Inspector who slumped and died during his grandmotherâs burial
Friends and family are mourning a police Inspector, Michael Timitimi, who slumped and died during the burial rites of his grandmother in Igbedi community in Kolokuma\Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.
Late Timitimi, who was attached to the Bayelsa State Police Command died on Sunday, March 6, shortly after dancing during the burial ceremony.
The deceased was also the security aide to the former Speaker and Member Representing Kolga constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Emmanuel Isenah.
Hon. Isenah, who led members of his political family to the deceased family’s residence at his country home in Kaiama, described the late Inspector of Police as a brave and patriotic officer, adding that his entire political family is still grief-stricken over the tragedy.
“We are here to commiserate with you over the departure of your son. We received with sadness, the news of the death of your brave and patriotic son,” the former Speaker said.
“On behalf of My entire political family, we are here to condole with you. We assure you of our prayers at this moment of grief and we believe that God will grant you and your family the fortitude to carry this pain,” he added.
