In the community of Pupule, located within the Yorro Local Council of Taraba State, residents are expressing deep concern over the escalating rate of kidnapping incidents. Just yesterday, six individuals were forcefully taken against their will, further exacerbating the fearful atmosphere within the community. This incident follows closely on the heels of the recent abduction of a Police Inspector from his farm in the neighboring Kurmi Local Council.
Faced with sleepless nights and a growing sense of insecurity, the residents urgently call upon the state government to take swift action in deploying additional security operatives to the area. Moreover, they implore the government to provide necessary logistical support to enable law enforcement agencies to effectively combat and eliminate kidnappers, armed bandits, and other criminal elements that have been plaguing the community and the state as a whole.
Assuring the public of their commitment to resolving the situation, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abdullahi Usman, confirms that the command is diligently working day and night to secure the safe release of the kidnapped victims. Collaborating closely with the anti-kidnapping unit, the strike force unit, vigilantes, and hunters, the authorities are sparing no effort in their rescue mission.
