Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has taken to social media to express gratitude to the Federal Government for conferring him with a prestigious National title.
The 30-year-old singer, in a post shared via his Instagram page, said it’s an honor to be named an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger).
He claims that promoting Nigeria in a positive light has always been his goal, and he is honoured to be acknowledged for his achievements.
He posted a video of himself with his hit song ‘Over Dem’ playing in the background and captioned it,“Honored to hear the news that I have been conferred with an OON (Officer of the Order of The Niger) by The Federal Government of Nigeria.
I am grateful for this recognition and honour. It has always been my mission to use my platform to showcase our country – the passion, the resilience, the joy the culture and of course the struggles of our people. I do not take any of this for granted. We have one Nigeria and we will continue to do whatever we must to make it better!
