Internet users have shared a video of thugs telling electors in Fadeyi, Lagos, not to leave their homes if they don’t cast their ballots for the party in power, the APC.
The criminals can be seen in a video threatening each other while strolling down a street that is otherwise deserted.
“If you no vote APC, no come outside o,” they warned.
Following a string of attacks on candidates from other parties and a particularly unsettling threat from MC Oluomo, who advised Igbos to stay at home if they did not vote for APC, this is the most recent threat to voters coming from thugs backing APC.
Afterward, Adejobi Olumuyiwa, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Police Force, said Oluomo’s threat should be interpreted as a joke.
