The Associated Press and ABC News reported that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department made the arrest on Friday, marking a significant breakthrough in the cold case that has remained unsolved for 27 years. The suspect, identified as Duane “Keffe D” Davis, has been charged with one count of murder, with a gang enhancement. Davis, described as the commanding figure responsible for orchestrating Shakur’s death, was apprehended by authorities on Friday morning, as confirmed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department during a press conference.

Shakur, a prominent rap artist, was tragically shot four times while seated in his car en route to a nightclub in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. Despite the rapper’s immense success at the time, he succumbed to his injuries on September 13. Following his untimely demise, the investigation into his murder quickly turned cold, leaving many unanswered questions and sparking widespread speculation.
