Umeh Kamsiyochukwu Precious, the individual who attained the highest score in the 2023 UTME, has achieved remarkable results in the 2023 West African Examination Council (WAEC) senior school certificate examination, earning eight As and one B.
Mr. Umeh, the father of the student from Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, disclosed this information to Vanguard on Wednesday.
Umeh excelled with A1 grades in Economics, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Dyeing and Bleaching. She achieved a B2 in Physics.
The 16-year-old has submitted an application to the University of Lagos for a course in chemical engineering.

Some time ago, Kamsiyochukwu shared the strategies that contributed to her impressive score. She revealed that her school implemented measures to facilitate her studies.
Kamsi described how she began preparing for the JAMB exam several months prior, attending numerous preparatory sessions, taking various practice tests, working through numerous past questions, and even receiving time management training at her school.
She added that she devoted six hours each day to studying during morning, afternoon, and evening study sessions.
These strategies, she emphasized, equipped her with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently address the exam questions.
Kamsi also noted that her most crucial preparation involved prayer, which she engaged in frequently before the exam.
Regarding how she accessed her results, she mentioned that due to her boarding school arrangement, she couldn’t check it herself. She had to request her guidance counselor to contact her mother for the outcome.
Furthermore, she shared that she hasn’t personally seen her result slip.
