Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party for the 2023 election, recently offered valuable advice to the 1,800 couples participating in the Kano mass wedding scheme. During the reception organized by the State Government at the Open Theatre in Kano Government House on Saturday, October 14, Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of refraining from checking one’s spouse’s phone.
Recognizing the potential consequences that such actions may have on a marriage, Kwankwaso urged the couples to consider the advice they have received from various sources, including religious leaders, parents, relatives, and even business people, on how to cultivate a harmonious and peaceful relationship.
With utmost concern, he stated, “You have been advised by all and sundry. I believe you have been advised a thousand times. Ulamas, parents, relatives, and even business people have advised you on how to live peacefully with one another. But I have one single advice for you; that is checking spouses’ phones. Don’t peep at your spouses’ phones as that is the major cause of marriage breakup these days.”
