The suspects in the tragic incident of the Ilorin hotelier, who were allegedly involved in tying the deceased to a bed during a sexual encounter, have been disowned by Kwara Polytechnic.
In a statement released by Halimat Garba, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) on behalf of the Registrar, it was disclosed that even though the duo were once students of the institution, they had withdrawn from the school due to their inability to meet the academic demands.
According to the statement, “Our database checks showed that the two ladies had since been withdrawn from the school after their first years on account of poor academic performances.”
The statement further emphasized, “They have, therefore, ceased being students of our great institution.”
Recognizing the importance of upholding the reputation of Kwara Polytechnic, the management categorically stated that their students are regarded as esteemed representatives of the institution, the state, and Nigeria as a whole. The management firmly asserted that they would not tolerate nor condone any involvement in disgraceful or criminal activities.
In light of this incident, the management of Kwara Polytechnic urges the media to verify any information related to the institution with them directly, in order to ensure accuracy and avoid misinformation.
