Today, four basketball clubs—MFM, Air Warriors, Bayelsa Whales, and Nigeria Customs—will start competing for the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League championship at the Indoor Sports Hall at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Teams in the league competed for a spot in the national championship in two sets of games in two zonal play-offs known as the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences. Four clubs—MFM Lagos, Air Warriors, Nigeria Customs, and Bayelsa Whales—made it to the championship game.
Bayelsa Whales and MFM Basketball Club won the Atlantic Conference, while the defending champions Air Warriors and Nigeria Customs selected their tickets from the Savannah Conference, according to the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
