Lizzo, known for her hit “Juice,” and Wright, who began their relationship in 2021 after co-hosting the MTV live music show Wonderland together in 2016, faced rumors of a split when they both unfollowed each other on social media, accompanied by Lizzo deleting all their shared photos.
However, a representative for Lizzo stated to DailyMail that there is absolutely “no truth” to the speculation of their separation.
According to a source quoted in the US Sun, Lizzo has been deeply affected by recent events, which in turn strained her relationship with Wright. The source shared that they had a significant falling out and Lizzo is genuinely distressed. Both Lizzo and Wright had previously considered themselves as soulmates, making the breakup particularly challenging for them. Those close to the situation are optimistic that they might reconcile.
Publicly linked since October 2021, Lizzo confirmed their relationship during an appearance on Radio Andy in April 2022. They made their first public appearance together in June 2022 at an event for Lizzo’s Amazon Prime Video show, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.

Lizzo has recently faced controversy as several former backup dancers filed a lawsuit against her, accusing her of sexual harassment and claiming she engaged in fat-shaming. The plaintiffs, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, expressed their dismay after Lizzo denied their claims and accused them of unprofessional behavior during their time working for her.
In response to Lizzo’s denial, their attorney Ron Zambrano issued a statement, asserting that Lizzo’s actions and dismissive comments have caused distress to the plaintiffs and other employees who have shared their negative experiences. He emphasized that despite Lizzo’s intentions, her behavior had led to demoralizing her dancers and violating the law.
