Renowned NBA athlete Damian Lillard, a key member of the Milwaukee Bucks, has taken the decisive step to file for divorce from his longtime partner, Kay’La.
Official documents were lodged earlier this week in Oregon, where Lillard is based.
According to a report by Willamette Week, the filing by Damian Lillard specified irreconcilable differences as the primary reason for the “irremediable breakdown” of their marriage.
The couple’s relationship began during their time as students at Weber State, and they have remained together ever since. Their official marriage took place in September 2021, and they share three children.
Notably, it appears that the couple has physically lived apart for the past ten months, with Kay’La residing in a luxurious $2.7 million residence in West Linn, while Damian Lillard continued to reside in their $7.7 million property in the same city.
