#NigeriaElections2023: Atiku wins Bauchi with 109,913 votes

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, defeated Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, with 109,913 votes in Bauchi State.

On Monday, Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of Federal University in Dutse, Jigawa State, who served as the state’s presidential election collation officer, announced the results.

At 8:15 p.m. on Monday, he made the announcements in the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Conference Hall at the Bauchi headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, which served as the state’s collation center for the presidential election.

Giving a summary of the results, the collation officer said that Atiku got 426,607 votes while his closest contender, Tinubu, had 316,694 votes.

He said that the New Nigerian People’s Party candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso got 72,103 while Peter Obi of the Labour Party scored 27,373 votes.

Mohammed said that the registered voters in the state are: 2,749,268 while those that were accredited to vote are: 899,769.

The valid votes cast, according to him, are: 853,516, rejected votes: 29,030 while the total votes cast are: 882,546.

Meanwhile, the total detailed results from the 20 local government areas of the state as earlier announced by the various Returning Officers are as follows:
