Nigerian footballer and esteemed Super Falcons star, Michelle Alozie, has firmly refuted the widespread speculations suggesting her lesbianism.
The speculation initially arose when Alozie shared a picture on her Instastory, referring to another woman as her “husband.” This post quickly gained traction on the microblogging platform X, prompting netizens to engage in discussions and conjecture about her sexual orientation.

Addressing the controversy head-on, Alozie took to X to dispel any doubts and debunk the claims of her being a lesbian.
In no uncertain terms, she clarified that she identifies as straight and holds an interest in men. She further explained that she was simply celebrating the other lady on her birthday, with no romantic connotations involved.
Alozie expressed her stance by stating, “I like guys. Lol. Relax.”
It is worth noting that Alozie had previously caused a stir among her male fans when she disclosed her crush on Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi.
During a virtual interview with Pulse, where she was asked about her admiration for any Super Eagles team members, the American-born player did not hesitate to mention Alex Iwobi as her crush. This revelation had disappointed her male followers while garnering attention and curiosity from the audience.
