Renowned suspect Nnanyerugo Best, popularly known as Killaboi, has been apprehended in Sierra Leone for the heinous murder of his girlfriend.
As previously reported in July 2023, Killaboi audaciously confessed to the killing of Augusta Osedion via an Instagram post (read here). While he expressed a willingness to surrender himself to the authorities, he ultimately eluded capture and subsequently fled Nigeria.
Earlier this month, the Nigerian police declared Killaboi a wanted criminal (read here), intensifying efforts to bring him to justice.
During this time, his mother, in an effort to preserve the ongoing police investigation, refrained from divulging extensive details regarding the case.
In her statement to LIB, she stated, “I prefer to maintain a low profile concerning the matter at hand as I am currently working on acquiring his whereabouts for his arrest.”
Killaboi’s capture in Sierra Leone comes as a significant development in the case.

The news of his arrest caused a considerable surge in Twitter activity on Saturday morning, October 21.
According to reports, Killaboi successfully altered his identity, contact information, social media accounts, and even obtained a Sierra Leone passport to evade detection.
The fugitive, who had adopted the name Kanu Princeton Samuel, was ultimately recognized and apprehended while attending a nightclub in Sierra Leone.
Killaboi’s arrest in Sierra Leone signifies a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation, following the Nigerian police’s pursuit of this dangerous criminal.
