According to the Scheme, these services are provided without charge and in compliance with its deployment and relocation policies.
According to the stated policy, it stated that the relocation of Corps members is based on individual merit.
The National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, refuted allegations that it charges money to execute corpers’ State of Service documents.
The organization issued a warning about the scheme’s lack of payments for the deployment and relocation of potential Corps members.
The Scheme said these services are carried out free of cost and in accordance with the Deployment and Relocation policies of the Scheme.
The Scheme said the relocation of Corps members is effected on individual merit, in line with the laid down policy.
It made the clarification in a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations, on Thursday.
The Scheme said, “mobilisation of Prospective Corps members for national service is free of charge, as Corps Producing Institutions do not pay for that.
“Any infraction on the above policies should be reported to the Heads of the nearest NYSC formations nationwide, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters Abuja and or the security agencies for prompt action.”
Meanwhile, The Department of State Services, DSS, on Wednesday, refuted allegation by the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, that the incumbent Enugu state governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, forged his discharge certificate.
NYSC had accused Mbah, who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general election of presenting a fake certificate to the agency.
