Suspected bandits have recently abducted a prominent official of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in Plateau State, Kim Bot. The unfortunate incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, October 4, 2023, when Mr. Bot was on his way home after concluding his work at the office. The bandits intercepted his vehicle and forcibly took him to an undisclosed location.
A member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in Plateau State, who disclosed the incident to Punch in Jos, confirmed that Mr. Kim Bot, the State Secretary of PSN, had been kidnapped at Lamingo Road Junction in Jos North Local Government Area.
The anonymous pharmacist further revealed that the Lamingo Road leading to Jos University Teaching Hospital has gained notoriety for its frequent occurrences of kidnapping. Several individuals have fallen victim to these criminal acts along this particular stretch of road in recent times.
“The kidnapping of Pharmacist Kim Bot did indeed occur last night. He owns a pharmacy shop in the Lamingo area,” the source stated. “According to reports, he was driving his Honda Hennessy gold-colored car at around 8pm on Wednesday when the kidnappers attacked him at the Lamingo Junction and forcibly took him away in his own vehicle. Since then, he has not been seen.”
Prompt action has been taken, as the pharmacist immediately reported the incident to the local authorities. Investigations are currently ongoing to secure Mr. Kim Bot’s safe release.
