n a disturbing incident, a student of Taraba State University, Shishi Ali Ibrahim, also known as Akaha, was the victim of a violent attack that occurred in his residence in Jalingo. The assailants made their move at precisely 12 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
The attackers mercilessly assaulted Ibrahim with a cutlass, leaving him severely injured. Thankfully, his neighbors quickly came to his aid and rushed him to Nati Zion clinic for immediate medical attention. Given the seriousness of his injuries, Ibrahim was subsequently transferred to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) under the careful watch of the DSS patrol team for further treatment and care.
In light of this alarming incident, the President of the Taraba State University Students Union (TASSU), Comrade Shamaki, visited Ibrahim at the hospital. During his visit, he emphasized the importance for all students to exercise caution and be mindful of the company they keep.
This appalling attack on a student within the confines of his own room highlights the need for increased security measures and vigilance within the university community. It serves as a reminder to everyone to prioritize their personal safety and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the relevant authorities.
