The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending three individuals involved in fraudulent activities in Idumota, Lagos. The victim, a 23-year-old woman whose identity is being withheld, was forcibly taken hostage by the suspects while on her way to Iyana Oworo from Gerard Road Ikoyi. The suspects, identified as Austin Okoro, aged 47 and the ring leader, Godwin Asezour, aged 54, along with Susan Elohor, aged 42, lured the victim into their Volkswagen Vento salon car with registration number BDG 513 EJ, under the pretense of introducing her to their money-doubling scheme. However, the victim noticed an RRS patrol team present in Idumota and quickly raised the alarm, leading to the swift arrest of the perpetrators.
Following a thorough investigation conducted by the RRS, the captured suspects, Austin Okoro, Godwin Asezour, and Susan Elohor, have been formally charged and will face the appropriate legal consequences. This accomplishment serves as a testament to the dedication and effectiveness of the RRS in combating fraud and ensuring the safety of the public
