In order to protect disadvantaged individuals in Nigeria from the consequences of the loss of gasoline subsidies and other economic shocks, President Bola Tinubu has officially introduced his administration’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Program.
Tinubu stated that the program will serve 15 million homes and is primarily intended to uplift the poor and vulnerable during the flag off, which took place yesterday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and coincided with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
The scheme, which is anticipated to cost about N1.125 trillion, will aid 62 million recipients over the course of the following three months, with each receiving N75,000.
At the symbolic event for the first five recipients, Tinubu, who was represented by SGF George Akume, declared that his administration is devoted to leading from the front.
