Renowned Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has made a heartfelt plea to the Nigerian Police Force, urging them to expedite their investigations and promptly release the body of the late Mohbad, in order to facilitate a befitting burial. It has been two months since the passing of the former music artist, during which time his body has been exhumed and embalmed by the police.
Taking to her Instagram story, Tonto Dikeh voiced her frustration with the Police’s delay in releasing the late singer’s body, while passionately requesting that justice be served. It is worth mentioning that Tonto Dikeh, along with her colleague Iyabo Ojo, had previously chosen a casket and made preparations for Mohbad’s burial, in the hope that his body would be released in a timely manner.
In her post, Tonto Dikeh wrote,
“@nigerianpoliceforce @benjaminhundeyin, we implore you to release Mohbad’s body for a dignified burial. We are growing weary of the slow progress and negligence. If no one speaks up, I will. I have dedicated a significant amount of my emotions, time, and love to this cause, and I refuse to see justice disregarded. As QM says, grant the police more time, but honestly, we believe that more than enough time has already been given. This is not a matter to be brushed aside. WE DEMAND JUSTICE.”
