We are deeply saddened to report that Atanda Modupe Deborah, a missing 200-level nursing student of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), has tragically been found deceased. Deborah went missing after attending a night reading session on Monday, September 4.
Concern arose when Deborah did not return from her night reading, prompting her worried roommates to report her missing. Fellow students organized a search, during which they discovered her books and belongings in a nearby pond.

Regrettably, on Wednesday, September 6, Deborah was found buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty building. Shockingly, her eyes had been plucked out and she had sustained severe injuries to her head. There are indications that she may have also been subjected to a horrific crime.
This distressing incident has sent shockwaves through the university community and beyond. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Deborah’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
