A video making rounds on social media had captured the moment APC and PDP convoy were moving together in Edo.
The two of Nigeria’s leading political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were driving together in convoy during a rally in Edo state, which left many residents of the area stunned.
The video, which was shared by a Nigerian man, showed an APC campaign vehicle closely following a PDP car, with speakers blaring Eedris Abdulkareem’s hit song, Jaga Jaga. The video also shows a poster of former Edo state governor Adams Oshiomhole, who is running for senate, on one of the cars.
The unusual sight left the man who filmed the rally flabbergasted, as it is uncommon for rival parties to campaign together in Nigeria. It is unclear what prompted the joint rally or if it was a one-time occurrence.
