The Executive Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Vince McMahon, is said to have undergone surgery recently.
As per TMZ’s report, McMahon had a significant four-hour spinal surgery last week. Fortunately, the WWE honcho is now “recuperating at home.”
At the age of 77, McMahon made a triumphant return to his leadership role in WWE earlier this year, orchestrating a boardroom maneuver to reclaim control of the company he has managed for over four decades.
Before this comeback, McMahon had taken a six-month hiatus in response to a series of workplace misconduct allegations that were settled privately, averting public lawsuits.

Subsequently, WWE revealed plans for a merger with UFC to establish a new publicly traded entity, with Endeavor, UFC’s parent company, at the helm. After the merger’s completion, Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, will assume the leadership position, while McMahon will take on the title of Executive Chairman.
In this new structure, Nick Khan and Dana White will continue as the respective presidents of WWE and UFC within the combined company.
Together, we will be a $21+ billion live sports and entertainment powerhouse with a collective fanbase of more than a billion people and an exciting growth opportunity,” McMahon said in a statement when the merger was announced in April.
“Things have to evolve,” McMahon said in an interview on CNBC at the time, as covered by the Los Angeles Times. “This is the right business decision. This is the right family decision.”
