Voters decide to cook for INEC officials at polling unit over delay to upload of results
In a video gaining waves on social media, some voters took it upon themselves to ‘sponsor’ the food of the INEC officials in the polling unit.
The video showed the moment both residents and voters came together, cooking for officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as collation went on
The voting and collation continued till night and there were complaints of network issues and exhaustion by the INEC officials, surprisingly, voters who were impatiently waiting for election results to be uploaded to the INEC server had to resort to making food for them to stay behind until the network issue was resolved.
As seen in the video, stoves were provided and the residents could be seen preparing what looked like noodles and eggs.
