A man shares a moving experience that you might not be fully aware of. He described how challenging it was to live and work abroad.
The couple had to move back to their home country after experiencing marital strife overseas due to the nature of their work, and since then, they have accomplished far too many things they were unable to accomplish while living abroad.
After spending years abroad, exploring different cultures, and working tirelessly for years with his wife, the man shares his experience and the reason behind their leaving the abroad life and coming back home.
The Nigerian man identified as @ShamseddinGiwa took to Twitter to share his experience and to advise individuals intending to travel abroad on the true realities of living abroad

The man claimed that, unlike what they portray, life is not as simple abroad. She described how grueling and humiliating their professions were and how difficult it was, even with their paychecks, to make ends meet.
They persevered until they were unable to do so any longer, driven by their hunger for fresh encounters and chances.
Finally, they decided to come back to their country and have since accomplished too many things they couldn’t achieve in their many years of living in a foreign country.

“The relocation story you don’t get told
This was us several years back as a young couple looking for better life abroad. The dream was good , the intentions were good and we had enough to start, we just didn’t have enough information of how challenging it would get.
We started life in a single within a shared flat, where we even get told when we could use the washing machine and the heater (even in winter)
The jobs were demeaning and tiring but the poor exchange rate of my home currency gave a false sense of deception that one was earning good but the reality was different. Even with both our incomes, it was difficult to live averagely. Note, we were way better than many others here.
Atleast we were together but extreme work Rota meant we got to spend more time apart.marriage strained, now imagine many had their spouses back but their marriage went through worse.
Always at the mercy of the home office that was always changing immigration policies, one never really felt settled .
In the end we returned back home and quietly started over, together…”
