A woman in Ezeagu, Enugu State, was subjected to a public confrontation by village elders after allegedly confessing to the murder of her sons. Disturbing videos circulating online depict the elders interrogating the woman following the untimely death of her second son, Emmanuel Chidera, at the age of 22.
According to reports, the woman admitted to killing both Emmanuel and his brother. These tragic events unfolded when one of the woman’s deceased sons, during a village gathering, expressed concerns about his mother’s actions and urged the community to hold her accountable if any harm befell him.
Further allegations emerged, suggesting that the mother had remarried a man from Kogi State who encouraged her to sell off her late husband’s properties. In response, her children confronted her, demanding that she cease the sale of their father’s assets. Tragically, the confrontation resulted in the death of both sons.
Following the woman’s alleged confession, village elders adorned her with palm fronds and paraded her throughout the community, accompanied by the cursing and condemnation of onlookers.
