Self-proclaimed investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, ignited a frenzy online with her latest incendiary remarks on the prolonged delay in uncovering the truth behind the tragic death of the late singer, Mohbad.
Kemi, who is adamant that Omowunmi Aloba, the late singer’s widow, is still her top suspect, unleashed a vicious tirade in a widely circulated video on the internet. She claimed that the widow is being protected from questioning and prosecution by a well-known politician and king, whose identities Kemi purposefully withheld to add intrigue. Kemi expressed her intense displeasure by accusing Tonto Dikeh of masterminding the powerful politician’s introduction and raising the possibility that there are hidden agendas entwined with this complex affair.
Kemi continued her passionate speech by posing a relevant question: why Wunmi and other people who were in the car with Mohbad in his last moments were not considered main suspects in the investigation? She questioned their motives and conduct during the sad incident, criticizing them for photographing Mohbad instead of giving him the immediate medical attention he sorely needed.
Kemi made claims of incompetence and improper case management against Femi Falana, the attorney defending Mohbad’s family, out of a clear displeasure. Kemi, who was accusing Falana of being secretive, stated that he had prevented the media from entering the courtroom for certain hearings pertaining to Mohbad’s case, raising questions about possible conflicts of interest.
Blaming the media for their apathetic approach to every facet of Mohbad’s death investigation, from the autopsy process to courtroom proceedings and police inquiries, Kemi expressed her exasperation with what she sees as a pervasive failure in the quest for justice for the deceased singer.
