The results of the autopsy performed on the late singer Mohbad at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) have been made available to the public. As per The Cable Lifestyle reports, toxicological study was conducted on samples obtained from Mohbad’s lung, liver, kidney, bone marrow, blood, and stomach material. His right forearm was injured, as shown by the anatomical and pathological examination, and it was observed that no important results could be found in his excavated body, which had decomposed to a moderate to severe degree.
The toxicology report indicated the presence of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, but its concentration was not at a fatal level. Antihistamines are typically used to treat allergy symptoms and other conditions like stomach issues, colds, and anxiety.

The investigation found that the cause of death was unknown, but because neither the toxicology nor the post-mortem reports revealed any noteworthy discoveries, it speculated that the death might have been caused by a medication response. Interestingly, the body was buried the second day after death without having been embalmed or subjected to an examination. On September 21, 2023, eight days after the burial, the body was exhumed; the organ decomposition was mild to marked. further than the superficial injury on the right forearm, no further noteworthy observations were made. After that, samples were collected to check for common household poisoning, substance addiction, overdose, and anaphylactic reactions.
Diphenhydramine was found to be beneficial, although its concentration was not fatal, and the results of the other analyses were uninteresting. Analyzing a deadly anaphylactic shock would have required obtaining a blood sample in a timely manner, which was not feasible because of the burial. Because of this, the cause of death is still unknown, yet given the lack of noteworthy results, a deadly anaphylactic reaction is still a possibility.
